SECULAR CEREMONY VS. A RELIGIOUS CEREMONY
Most secular ceremonies (non-religious) do not include traditional elements that define a specific
denomination. A secular ceremony can have rituals, but without religious elements. This
provides the emotional benefit without involving religion.
Carolyn Burke will not "bless" your wedding in a traditional sense, but will most likely be open to
any readings and traditions you may want to include.
A secular ceremony has the same basic structure as a religious ceremony:
~ Call to Order or Opening Remarks
~ Question of Intent
~ Vows and Ring Exchange
~ Pronouncement
