Your wedding reception will generally have some sort of entertainment.
Typically, a wedding band or DJ will be used.

Arrival/Grand Entrance - Upon your arrival to the reception hall, the band leader
or DJ can announce the parents, the wedding party and you as man and wife.

Mingling - For the next few minutes, you and your groom will mix and mingle as
you make your way to your reserved table. In order to alleviate feelings of
awkwardness, music should be playing in the background.

Service of Food - At this point, if a formal meal is being served, it will generally take place now. If appetizers are
offered, guests and the bridal party will simply help themselves throughout the wedding reception. Throughout the
meal, soft music should be playing.

First Dance - Obviously, you'll want to select a special song for the band or DJ to play for your first dance. This is
probably one of the most touching memories you'll have of your wedding reception.

Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dance - This is optional and may be two separate songs or one song and 1/2 way
through the song the groom steps in with his mother. Again, the most touching memories.

Wedding Party Dance Song - Another one that is optional. Keep it short and sweet as it is bound to be a bit awkward
for bridesmaids and groomsmen who may not know each other very well. Half way through the song, others can be
invited to join in for an ALL DANCE. This can help get people on the dance floor and get the "party" started.

Cutting of the Cake - A fun and potentially dangerous portion of the wedding reception! Be gentle with one another.
Don't do anything you'll regret later.

Tossing of Bouquet/Garter - Fun music can be played during the tossing of the bouquet or that of the garter. Last
Dance of the Reception - choose something slow or make it last forever.
