Carolyn Burke, Wedding Liaison
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is so unique about Wedding Ceremony Services?
We are very unique in how we approach your wedding.  You can have all the plans in place or you can have no idea
of where to start.
A Wedding Liaison can be hired for your wedding at ANY TIME during your planning.

We provide resources:    Location  *  Officiant  *  Music  *  Wedding Day Coordination

We brainstorm ideas and come up with as many as 10-15 locations, 1-3 officiants, or any type of musician.
We will contact the resources for you to check on availability and pricing according to your budget.

With the
Time-Line Talk Package (Wedding Day Coordination),  Carolyn Burke works with the information you
give her to formulate a master plan.  She manages your wedding day, will supervise your vendors, handle
emergencies, and soothe your  nerves.  The details are in place and the event is being handled by a professional.

Carolyn is always on the look-out for the best resources to match your budget.
She receives no referral fees from the wedding professionals she will recommend.

Where do we begin?
It helps (but is not necessary) to know the date,  approximate time of the wedding,  and the number of guests.
Carolyn will show you the best and most original locations in the area, considering your wedding size, budget and
vision.  The first meeting is complimentary and ensures that we are compatible and will work well together.

You need to plan carefully what type of ceremony you want.  The style may be formal or semiformal; religious,
ecumenical or nondenominational.  We will match your wishes based on your religious background and geographic
location.  If you are looking for an officiant, Wedding Ceremony Services has information on men and women who
are ordained in the state of Missouri and Illinois.

But I already have a location.   Wedding Ceremony Services can pull together an itinerary,
confirming vendor commitments and double-checking the details.  We can contribute to your planning by providing
information and advice on all types of wedding vendors.  Consultation can include answering questions for proper
wedding etiquette for your family members and the wedding party.
I am only having a SMALL wedding.  Why do I need a Liaison?
Any size wedding needs a proper wedding plan.  In fact, the more casual the environment, the more someone is
needed to assist and attend to the details.

What is Time-Line Talk?
A complete itinerary for your wedding day including extensive detail for everything that needs to occur, and the
time it will take place for the couple, vendors, wedding party, and parents.  All the necessary follow-ups with your
vendors will be made to confirm all information relevant to the service they are providing.

The time-line talk usually occurs one week before the event.
What is the difference between the venue's Coordinator and a Wedding Liaison?
A Wedding Liaison is working for YOU,  not the venue or location of your event.  Many venues offer a
complimentary "wedding coordinator" as part of their package.  This person may or may not work with you from
beginning to end.  Suddenly, he or she may take a new position elsewhere.  Sometimes, the bride and groom have
never met the coordinator who shows up on their wedding day!  Some event coordinators specialize in the
reception (catering) side of the event and have little experience in coordinating the ceremony.

Ask the staff at your wedding location what they will and will NOT do to determine your additional needs.  We work
closely with YOU before, during, and after the ceremony.   We assist the officiant and coordinate the roles of  your
friend or family members who are in the ceremony (ushers, readers, parents, etc.).

Some churches only have a custodian or volunteer present to open the doors, turn on the lights, etc.
The Liaison will work with the personnel at your ceremony and/or reception site to ease the ceremony planning
process.
