What is a Civil Union Ceremony?
Any 2 people who are 18 or older, including straight couples.
The law says a union can be between 2 persons of either the same or opposite sex.
This ceremony is legal after June 1, 2011 in the state of Illinois.

What is a Commitment Ceremony?
A commitment ceremony is a bond of love between two people, gay or straight
Gay, Lesbian, Bi-Sexual or Transgender.
It does not involve any government.
There are no legal benefits to having a Commitment Ceremony.
